hmm 32 is back as of 2 secs ago.. still full price
I don't think it's the cache - I was going by their Search page, which doesn't seem to update as rapidly as the product page. (And I did Ctrl+F5, which ignores what's in cache. )

...aaaand 32GB is Auto-Notify now as well.

No updates on either of my orders, though people who placed orders after me on BestBuy.com were getting shipping notifications today.

I was tempted to jump on this........ The price is very good and the limited time availability for this deal is a huge driver. However:-

1. I've grown tied, as a consumer, on buying technology that ends up being a project rather than a solution (A Micron Chipset based USB 3.0 Dock was my last project)
2. As a software developer, it doesn't make any sense to develop for this.
3. It is $99/$150 that you could put towards another tablet
4. It is EOL...... the only hope seems to be an Android port; but I expect that this will be problematic at best.
5. HP released to market too early with problems and bugs. Sounds like some have been addressed; but I expect some issues still remain forever.

For someone wanting an E-reader and an iPad I class web browser (but with Flash) then its a good price......... I decided to pass and avoid getting caught up in all the excitement of nabbing one and hold off to see what comes out in 2012.

It is only $99......... but I'm passing (and hopefully a help to others who do not managed to snag a deal on this!)

I just got an order confirmed through CDW but I guess there is a good chance it will be cancelled.

webOS isn't EOL yet, just the hardware that HP was making. They will be licensing the OS. Yes it it still up in the air whether or not they will be able to make that happen, but I think I need to keep pointing this out for the people that aren't active in the webOS community and don't know exactly what is going on.
From reports on webOSroundup and Precentral, there was an obvious increase in app purchases this weekend. Strange thing though, not just Enyo Touchpad only apps, but an increase in the older Mojo apps. A lot of the app developers are also webOS fanatics, so take what you want out of this, but I think the app catalog will start to grow because of this.

Did anyone get their order to go through on B&N?

I ordered two around 1:05AM and it ended up "unable to process". My mom put in an order for two this morning and it says that it'll ship on August 24th. *shrugs*

I have no idea what's going on. And the hotline's so busy that they won't even keep you on hold, so yeah...

Awesome
I was just going to tell you that I could get it all the way to the "submit order" page just now too.

Now hopefully they don't cancel it. :sneaky:

Orded by adding price to next bill. Between VZW adding to next bill and Steam/Amazon one click buying (effectively), I am no longer immune to impulse buying

Darn it! So I missed it too? Anyone try a B&M store like Walmart today?

Got the order processed at CDW - it was after the stock was changed to "call" - still no confirmation e-mail or any charge on my credit card, so no clue if it actually worked.

Mine on B&N is saying ship on the 24th as well.

Also, the VZW case Mosh linked to I was able to order just fine (as of now). I just hope I get both, or at least the tablet. Would really suck to have a spare table case with no tablet to go in it haha

This from SD's wiki post:

"Dear [NAME REDACTED],

The HP Touch Pad sale over the weekend triggered an unprecedented response. We are currently reviewing inventory and orders to determine the number of requested orders that can be fulfilled for this item. Cancellation notices are going out automatically to customers whose orders were placed after the inventory was depleted. Please note that it's our policy not to charge a customer's credit card unless the product is shipped. Therefore, even if you have received an authorization notification, your card won't be charged until the product is shipped. We sincerely regret any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Dan

However, my card WAS charged...so, no tablets, and I'm out $230 for a while, wheee!

LOL-Site seems to be crashing. It's the Touchpad effect.

Yeah, it started flaking out on me when I finished my purchase but I have received a temporary confirmation number in an email already. Other's are calling in but it appears to be OOS now.

I think anyone who's still got a stash of these that they'd like to liquidate should just list them on Amazon. At least they can handle the network traffic.

I'd love to see a traffic map animation of Internet traffic when this whole thing went down, preferably with tiny atomic explosion icons when a site was knocked offline.

I'm kinda irritated by the position I'm in with the order I placed through Onsale's Amazon listing... I have 3 on order... says "Shipping Soon". With all the FUD going on at SD I have little to no confidence that these things will actually ship, even though my card has long since been charged.

I wish they would just let me know if they can't fulfill the order, so that I can look elsewhere or move on with life... I've been on hold for a CS event for the last hour... This is crazy. Why not put some kind of statement somewhere that explains the situation...

I finally got through... they said all the orders are in process of being cancelled and refunded.

Oh well. That truly sucks.

This is pretty much a dead deal and sold out every where. Only unit available will be those being sold on ebay by idiots that bought 10+ of them in hopes or reselling them for 200-400 a pop. The don't realize that the demand was only this high for these tablets BECAUSE of the $99 price. I wouldn't pay anything more than that for a 16GB version of this tablet personally.

So to those that got one; Congrats. To those that didn't; Better luck next time.
