Touchpad has arrived from Best Buy. I bought the HP rubberized case and the Touchstone charger from a friend for $40 and am setting everything up.
Gratz man, glad to see you finally got one .
I posted this in the mobile devices forum, but it might also be useful to some here...
Make sure you update that puppy, my ran like shit with the 3.0.0 software on it. Oh and if you can't get the system update via the web to work, try the suggestions for the webos doctor update method in this link:

The webos updater on my pad didn't work, I imagine because 300,000 people are trying to update this week, and the webos doctor method wasn't working either but after a bit of searching I found this post which allowed it to work:
That's alright. Not sure if it's still true but it's usually better to put the device into recovery mode before running a doctor, rather than letting it try to reboot the device itself. All you have to do is power off the device, plug in the USB cable, and then power it back on while holding the volume up button in. In addition, you don't have to have the device in developer mode that way.
Apparently some people with Win 7 x64 couldn't get this WebOS doctor to work without doing the above. It worked for me, and I'm finally updated., it's what I had to do.
