I have friends that work at BBY and I know employees get to nab em. Trucks that might have 150-170 will likely have 50-70 bought buy employees.
They do limit them to 1 per person like customers.
That's nuts, I mean it asked me if it could plot my location first (I opted for it to warn me first during the initial setup) so I figured, "go ahead, how would it know anyhow?"...sure enough, it knew my exact location, the correct side of the street, the right area of the street. It was as accurate as putting my address in on google maps.

HP is a huge corporation. If they still had Touchpads to drop ship, we'd be under a sea of them. I have a feeling the only potential remaining stock is with equally large B&Ms. ....Unless HP started to suddenly manufacture more after liquidating their existing stock, which would be sheer insanity. Probably mid-2012, you'll see these on eBay used for $50.
Well my last hope of getting one local just fell through.

Got one finally. Well two, since my gf got one too.
It took a total of 7 days to get this. Starting last friday and getting on from Onsale, B&N, CompUSA/TigerDirect etc etc.. All got cancelled.
I got mine today from a BB store 110 miles from my home ( Live in Encino, got it in San Bernandino, CA). We left home at 1am, got there at 3am, there was a line of 25 people. We were 26 & 27. Two girls behind me were getting one (was 28), another guy with his friend were only getting one (29) and the last one was an Indian student (30). The Indian guy showed up around 4:30 pm. Around 5:30 people started lining up behind the last guy. At 6:30 the manager came by and said 30 positions available. Thats when all hell broke loose.
However they handled it well. Since most of us were there majority of the night we knew who was in teh group, others got shafted and we got ours. Its funny how people were coming in even after that trying to buy one. The manager was outside just shooing people away. One guy wanted to buy my 'reserve ticket' for a 100. Sorry bud, I worked my ass off, 100 is not enough.
The funny thing is that it took us 4 days and several hundred miles of driving to get a 32 and 16gb units.
On Monday we were at a store but they only 30 units and we were at 32-33 (we arrived at 6 something, they opened at 10). We were originally 28-29 but some people line cut in the last minute. Same thing happened next day in Pasadena (we arrived at 6). Then wednesday there were only 3 in west hollywood (arrived 4:30). Thursday umm.. I think we skipped this one. Friday (this morning) we got 2 by arriving at 3 (left home at 1).
The best part, since they gave the tickets at 6:45, we had 3 hours to kill. We went to the local casino, I won 100 bucks. That paid 2/3's my 32gb cost. yay me!
So far the unit is great but I only played with it for 5 minutes when I set it up. I am at work now (yes on 2 hours of sleep). I will go home, sleep and then write a review.
I need sleep. Most of this week I've slept no more than 3 hours a night, last night 2 hours..
