There's also a printable $50 off $300 coupon (which can be found in the FW thread) which lowers your final price to $519 but you HAVE to order at Staples B&M BTO kiosk since it's a printable coupon not an online coupon.

I used the coupon two nights ago to buy a loaded Compaq Presario 1500T for $937 after $100 MIR with FREE WIFI card and the coupon worked flawlessly.

I just called Staples Rebate customer service at 1-888-856-9210 and spoke with Willie Acevedo who confirmed that I am paranoid and can't read. You can buy only a laptop and receive the $100, you do not have to buy a laptop and monitor. Of course YMMV, if your rebate is declined for any reason I am not responsible. Just sharing with you guys what I found out.

Haha... You're not paranoid Rossman. I made sure the salerep explained the detail of that rebate before I took the dive on the 1500T too. Too bad I couldn't waive the shipping off though. Oh well, still a hot deal nonetheless.
