I've been trying to get Win2k running on a system that is based on an ABIT BE6-2. The board has to on board high point controllers and 2 standard ide on board controllers. I couldn't get the install to see the hard drive when hooked to the High point controllers, yes I hit F6 at start and tried to load the drivers but I keep getting errors. I hooked the hard drive up to the standard, white, ide controllers and everything was detected and the installation went smoothly. Now that I'm in Windows I'm trying to switch the hard drive over to the HPT controllers. I installed the correct drivers within windows for the HPT controllers, but when I move the hard drive over I get boot errors, its obviously not seeing the boot partition when on the HPT controller. How do i get around this? Do I have to edit boot files? Any help would be great!
