HT Core on the P4 2.533Mhz and up?

Hey there!
I'm new to the community and I wanted to verify of stamp out a rumor that I heard from a friend.
Supposedly, the hyper-theading core was already pre-built into the 2.533Mhz and up P4 processors (533FSB only). I was told that it was possible to enable it by connecting to pins on the chip by using conductive paint.

SO GUYS! Am I dreaming or is there some truth to this rumor?

p4 2.533 mhz?

i know they make 2.533 ghz though.

Actually all P4s have the HT-parts, it just is not enabled on others than the 3Ghz.
People have experienced that mobos suddenly says HT is anabled on lower clocked P4s than 2.533 after hard crashes but they soon crash again so nothing is proved.

You cannot turn it on though as it's prevented directly in the chip much like the Celerons lower caches.

Anybody heard anything? I'm holding off the purchase of a new system until those puppies are out.

It should come at the same time as the 200/800fsb cpu's, which will be soon, Q2 most places agree.

Really? So the core is somewhat the same huh? Wish you could enable it though. That'd be too cool!
sigh! I guess I'll just have to scrounge up the money for a 3.06Ghz processor. Hey! would you know When the actual date for the new HT chips are coming out?
