HT-DDW740

I finally jumped on the Home theater system bandwagon and finally got a new Sony HT-DDW740 from CC today with its $20 GC and $60 from MSN wallet. I thought I got a pretty decent deal. So far it sounds great. Anyone else have this sytem??

i do. just got mines last wed. im happy with it.

edit: nice little system, comes with the coaxial cable, so i can get the nice digital sound from my sony dvd player (ns715p). now i wanna buy the front speaker stands for this model. prolly do that this week. still waiting on my sony tv to come in, but already got the sony stand. and also waiting on my monster cables. yes, i spoiled myself this year.

Well I must be really greedy. But I still cant drive the sound out of my of the nearly $2500 bose system on display at CC. The souns produced was simply incredible. That was one really nice system I saw today. Mine dosent really compare much to that

My only complain is that since the reciever does not directly allow me to connect the cable from the cable box I cannot use the home theater system while wathcing my cable TV. That does sux a little though.

thats why i opted for this. cant get a super-super nice sound system. already have a good sounding one in my living room and the neighbors are starting to get frustrated i think. these purchases i just made are for my room, so im not asking a lot from it.

well I bought it for 300 bucks with $20 as GC and $60 back through MSN wallet. I am hoping to go back to CC and get some money back if the price drops in the next 30 days.

at best buy, i coulda swore i saw it for something around $250-260 this past week. if you still have time, you might wanna try calling them and asking them. if thats the price, you could possibly pm to the best buy price and get it even cheaper. but like i said, might want to call you local best buy first and verify the price, so YMMV.

edit: cc even pm's at 110%, so thats saving $30 right there.
