Ok I gotta ask is there any more info on a Sprint coming of the G2S? and will it be another crappy Foldout keyboard phone like the Epic?

if its going to be a 4.3 slab phone and is indeed coming to Sprint then yeh I may wait for it.. but then again.. the Epic was a paperweight and made me want to throw it every time I used it..
And Samsung software support is absolutely craptastic where HTC is usually on the ball and gets the updates out.

I like the photos and the vids of the G2S in the 4.3 slab model and would hope thats how Sprint would get the device.. however last time they got the slider ;/

A locked bootloader just makes it a lot harder. The Evo 3D is a huge release so it`s almost surely to eventually get cracked but no one knows for certain.
The Droid X was a huge release but it still hasn't been unlocked. Rooted, yes. But barring a corporate fail/key leak, don't bet on full customization ever happening.

Galaxy SII will be out for Sprint Q3 2011. It will be called Sprint Within.

Yes, I'm aware. I suspect the Plus is a minor incremental improvement. At a Sprint store, I can compare them side by side.

Droid Charge doesn't have Plus? Wiki is wrong?

Okay I am back from the displays. I went to same websites, played same youtube HQ vids, & all at same max brightness:

SAMOLED+ on Droid Charge: This was UGLY. It felt like colors were way too oversaturated. The face of the singer on video was having red brusing on his face because of too much redness. I didn't like it at all.

SAMOLED regular on Nexus: This was compared DIRECT side-by-side to Evo original's old TFT. The colors were nicely saturated and it looked clearly better. I preferred it than the super-forced saturation of Plus.

Evo's SLCD is on par to SAMOLED regular. And you get qHD with it (+35% pixels).

Looking good Evo3D. I don't care too much about rooting.

A full customization(meaning using different Kernels and such) will never happen unless an HTC exec or project manager leaks the keys in error, or HTC officially changes their stance.
The Droid X still hasn't been cracked yet. The best one can use so far is the Liberty mod which is essentially nothing but a hack job from Motorola's "approved" kernel. No custom kernels allowed.

If I'm going to pay that much for a phone and keep it for almost 2 years, it better be an official Google Nexus phone or a fully customizable one from one of the manufacturers.
One might as well get on their knees to "pray" since it uses a 256 bit encryption and can't be brute forced in that time frame.

This is the great part about not having an upgrade available anytime soon. Not even stressing about this.

I know right? I was happy in my own world with this old ass Blackberry Tour.

Of course the contract starts to run out and I have to deal with this.

No it doesn't have NFC. HTC said that later this year they'll start integrating NFC into their phones. Honestly NFC isn't a big deal at all and won't be for at least another year or two. I have NFC on my phone and it's not widespread enough here to care yet.

I wish something like this would come to other carriers. I would love to be able to take 3D pictures to view on my 3D TV, plus I would love the phone's own 3D effect now that I am used to it. It would at least be cool to show off with.

For me 3D is the least anticipated feature of Evo3D. I think it's just a bad gimmick and wish it had a single superior lens instead.

Looking forward to the qHD resolution, S-LCD Gorilla glass diaplay, & dual-core processors!

Ditto.

I went to a sprint store and put my preorder in. Had to buy a $50 sprint GC to get my name on the list, but I can just use it later to buy the phone.

*crosses fingers that it will come out 1st or 2nd week of June*

want a 3D for 50 bucks and got an EVO? Target Mobile beats RS!

Target Mobile will offer the Evo 3D for $199.99. Target is offering a very nice trade-on deal for users that own the Evo 4G smartphone.

If you have the Evo 4G and want to trade up to the Evo 3D Target mobile will give you $150 towards the purchase of the Evo 3D on launch day. If you pay for the Evo 3D with a Target credit card you will get an extra 5% off that price too. Naturally, the price is with a new 2-year contract.

Well, I'm all in. Went to Best Buy today and got myself added to the pre-order list. I'm #12 on the list at this store. How likely do you think it will be that I will get a phone on day one considering how far down I am on the list?

Am seriously considering getting a family plan going on Sprint, scoring an EVO, and a EVO 3D, hand my EVO and the new one down to the kids... And kill the Verizon line, the damn ThunderBolt with the extended battery makes the EVO feel thin and small

I thought you were getting rid of Sprint because of LTE?

I'm pretty sure Verizon will eventually boot me for tethering, Sprint doesn't care or cap you...

The kids pretty well hate Virgin, and I'm having a heck of a time finding smartphone plans for less than $200 for all 3 of us with unlimited data

I wonder how that works. I only signed up for Sprint in Febtober. No way am I eligible for an upgrade through Sprint. I'm I eligible for the Target promotion? Am I obliged for a contract for two years from now, or two years on top of my current contract.
Ugh.
