HTC Hero Question

My daughter has a non rooted Hero. Her internal memory is down to 17MB and she still has 6GB on her SD card. Can new app be installed to the SD card?
I didn't find a setting.

you'd have to root it and run froyo

There is an apps2sd app on the market. I haven't personally played with it though.

To have apps on the sd card, she needs to be running Apps2SD for Android 2.1 or less. I believe 2.2 (Froyo) does is natively.

I am running the NFX-Hero 2.2.1.update1 rom, it's been pretty stable (Apps2SD, overclocking, and cpu throttling is included for better performance and improved battery life). Take a look on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731951.

I also believe his rom moves the dalvik cache so you should have more free memory.
