I'm not going to believe any leak at this point. I need to see an actual HTC announcement about a M9 Plus.
That looks like a possible photoshop job, anyway. Deliberate misinformation by HTC or someone else? I'm hoping if there is a real M9 Plus it is something like an HTC version of PureView: a high megapixel camera, using a large sensor (don't care if it results in a camera hump) and OIS.
The whining about the black bar is getting old. Yes, it's mildly annoying (at worst) but there are far more annoying apsects of other phones and platforms, and I don't see it as the One's fatal flaw... it reminds me a lot about how it took Ford forever to move the Mustang from a solid rear axle to IRS. It will happen in good time, and unless HTC actively monitors these forums, I don't see the point in continually bringing it up. Vote with your wallet if it matters that much.
HTC really needs to compete against Samsung and Apple on the camera front, though, or they are going to fade away. They aren't the only ones doing metal body phones, and BoomSound - while awesome - isn't going to carry the brand. Sense is excellent as far as skins go, but with most other Android manufacturers sticking close to stock Lollipop, stock is what people are used to and expecting if they aren't already accustomed to Sense, so that isn't going to save HTC, either.
I won't buy an M9 Plus unless the camera is at least as good as the S6's camera. I don't want or need a fingerprint reader, but I do want the best possible camera if I am going to be spending $600 to $700 for one.
