HTC style Lock screen for iPhones!

Product:

Ingredients:
iPhone (Tested 3G)
Firmware 3.0 (Tested at 3.2)
Jailbroken
Add "david.ashman.com/beta/" to Cydia sources list ( How To)
Lockscreen (from Cydia) (How to *skip to the 2nd part about half way down the page)
Clock Hide (from Cydia)
OpenSSH (from Cydia)
Winterboard (from Cydia)
Download this file Text

Directions:
1) Copy the entire "HTC LockStyle Gruppled" folder to the Private/var/stash/Themes folder on your iPhone (How To Mac Win)

2) Go to your iPhone Settings scroll to the bottom; Click "Clock Hide"

• Enabled ON
  StatusBar ON

Click on "Settings" upper left hand conner
Click on "LockInfo"

• Enabled ON
  Scrolling ON
  Background Transparency Slide all the way left: 0%

Click on the Plugins that you need and Enable them
3) Start Winterboard

• enable HTC LockStyle Gruppled by clicking on it. (Verified by a check)
  Next Drag to the top of the list

4) You're Done! (Almost Unless you live in London)

Personalizations:
Put your custom wallpapers in "/HTC LockStyle Gruppled/Private/" name it "widget.png"
Here is the one I made from the 10.6 Wallpaper Lock Screen
iPhone WallPaper
To make your own you'll need these two: Text1 Text2

Weather:
Open "/HTC LockStyle Gruppled/Private/configureMe.js" with notepad / TextEdit
Change "var locale = 'London, UK' " to var locale = 'Statesboro, US' changing the bold. Save then upload.
Change "var isCelsius = true" to false if you want your information in Fahrenheit
Open "/HTC LockStyle Gruppled/Bundles/com.ashman.LockInfo/config.js"

• Scroll down and find // WEATHER SETTINGS
  Change the following to what you need
  "London, UK",
  "New York, US"
  Save then upload

Wow. That's very cool. I might jailbreak my touch just do to this, as I use it as an organizer. This makes the lock screen much more functional.

I wish I could just turn the lock screen off entirely. When I have my phone in my holster it's very difficult to press the power button accidentally.

What sort of lag does this add to the iPhone? I found that SBsettings by itself introduced a very noticeable lag to my iPhone 3g, and I've read that winterboard makes it even worse. What has your experience been?

That's what I'd also like to know .. especially WB ... I've read mixed feelings on it as far as the performance hit you take.

no none at all, sometimes it will take a second to load the weather data but you can just unlock it and skip that...
I havnt picked up ANY lag what so ever with SBsettings, Winterboard, and this Lock Screen

Hmm.. weird.. I'm not sure I'm completely sold on this lockscreen.

I really like the look, but I am hating the functionality. I don't like the tap anywhere to unlock, and the items in my list isn't showing fully.. so it's making it pretty useless. I'll keep fiddling with it, but so far.. I will probably get rid of it unless I can manage to make it work more to my liking.

Well thats wierd as i can go through my calendar and things but not unlock it

Yea, that is strange.. although I think I realize what's happening.

If I choose "Extend to Bottom" on the LockInfo Settings, it won't cut off the entries, but if I tap into that unlock area, it will unlock and won't let me mess with the items. I wish it wasn't that huge of an unlock area and it worked where you just had maybe a 20x20 box around the unlock icon that would cause it to unlock.

Also, the settings.js in the main folder doesn't really do anything. Spent a while playing with that.. and it didn't change anything. The only files that seem to are the ones that you've referenced.

Yeah I think thats for reference to put scripts in to /Private/configureme.js

ok i have been trying to edit these files for the past 3 hours :/ does anyone know how to 1.) make the time a 12-hour clock? i cannot find where this is set in any of the config files. and 2.) why the calendar, weather, sms, etc. stuff isn't stationary and when i scroll it will go through.. what it does now is if you move your finger up on it it pulls everything up so if you want to see the calendar you have to drag your finger all the way to the top to see it, any ideas guys? help me please!

Does yours look something like this:

you will need to edit the following code from the LockBackground.html in the package...

near the bottom of the code you will see the following fucntion:

oh my god alfa147x, you are amazing!!!!!!!!!1 thank you so much for that. seriously i looked in every file trough all of the code to find out where the time modifier would be... i found everything defined just not it's location. i can truly say i love you! thank you! hahahaha. i know your studying or whatever but did you make any progress on finding out where the "tap to unlock" areas code? i've been looking... no luck.

I got that from Settings.js
Im almost certain you add it to configureMe.js



So paste:

• var ClockDateFormat = "[F] [j], [l]"

in to configureMe.js if that doesnt work try it in Settings.js

hmm damn didn't do it.. i tried it before in the settings.js like you showed but it didn't do anything. bahhhhh and pasting it into configureMe.js didn't do it either. i may start pasting it in every file hahaha

Turn down Background Transparency
