basically, I'm trying to post a message to sprints message server so I can send a message to my phone when my server's power goes out. because sprint's e-mail based text messages SUCK, you are forced to use THEIR web interface to send messages that will get there within a reasonable amount of time.

you can message a sprintpcs phone through regular email.
phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com.
free of charge. sends it as a page. works perfect. any email program.

IE page load --> .cfm containing CFMAIL. It's cake if you know (and have) ColdFusion.

zimu,
I have a UPS on the server, obviously. When the server loses power, it will run a command, in my case "iexplore [the page i'm making]" which would then immediately send a message to my phone.
For your second question - as I said in my first post - sprint's messaging system SUCKS. The only way for me to get a message delivered to my phone in good time is to use their web-based "send a text message" form. Therefore, I need to make a page that will send the data to their servers and then to my phone. Nothing else will work, because I won't get the message until a few hours later if I use any other way.
Make sense?
did you try cfhttp and pass vars to the sprint page ?Originally posted by: dmurray14

Thanks... I tried that method too. Unfortunately, as I said, the email system takes forever to get the message to my phone, so unfortunately that's not going to work. But it will work for sending to my other e-mail addresses...

Got it guys...the body.onload trick worked. The page is just posting the data from a pre-filled form and sending it off to sprint. Thanks for the help!
Zimu,
thanks...sounds a little too advanced for me though!
