Of course heterosexuality is normal. Normal, as in, the average or most common configuration. I.e., most people are heterosexual. It is also normal for a small percentage of the population to be homosexual.

I have never heard of a person being tortured, or being put to death, because of their heterosexual sexual orientation. Can you give an example of this?

I am afraid the proof of burden is on you. Can you prove to me that no one has never been put to death because they are heterosexual? I know that heterosexuals are often persecuted by others, which is bad enough. I think it is important for heterosexuals to talk about their experiences as heterosexuals, so those people that are thinking of becoming heterosexual, i.e. they feel an attraction for the opposite sex, can see that it can be a good thing and they heteros will overcome all persecution.
