I'm using primarily Mozilla Firefox but sometimes Internet Explorer. With both browsers, I can't load HTTPS pages, both say they cannot connect. I'm using Windows XP, how do I get it so they'll load? Thanks!
Anyone? I'd really like to get this working ASAP because it's preventing me from being able to go to my bank's website, my credit card, my cell phone, all my bills pretty much and I have some due that I need to pay ASAP.
Open IE and click Help, About Internet Explorer and look at the Cipher Strength which should be 128-bit. If it's not listed, or the window is partially blank with info missing your browser is corrupt and needs to be repaired. When is the last time you've scanned for spyware and viruses using quality tools?
Alright, I figured it out. I haven't been on this computer for about 7 months (power supply was shot and I didn't have the money to get a new one) and forgot this had Norton Internet Security, which had the firewall enabled that was blocking the secure sites. Which explains why even after I disabled the Windows Firewall and the router firewall that they were still being blocked. Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated.
