I got Dead to Rights (Xbox) for $4.99 and it is platinum hits.

There's usually a sticker on Greatest or Platinum Hits. If they peel it away and scan the code underneath, it should come up as $4.99. Haven't done this myself, but it's what a lot of people are saying.

No word on Almeda yet. Guess nothing is there.

Visited CC in Savannah, GA and was there at 10:45 this morn...15 min. before opening. There was a small line at the door as everyone rushed in at opening. There were about 100 titles at $4.99 but mostly were all crap. I picked up a few, but quickly traded them in at Gamestop for Driver 3 on Xbox.

No restock for either cc in my area (also richmond, va)...theres about 50 copies of kobe bryant's gc game though. Probably because parents don't want their kids learning how to rape like a superstar.

No restock for San Diego, but they had holdbacks. Too bad, it opened at 10 despite what the store hours said online. I grabbed Lord of the Rings and Morrowwind Platinum Hits (price adjusted by cashier) at the Encinitas CC. Majority of games left sucked, mostly sports games or lowly rated. Some guy came in a few minutes before me and hauled 20 good games away. I was so stoked to find Project Gotham Racing in the clearance bin, but it didn't scan $4.99 nor was on the list for the $4.99. I went to the Vista CC only to find A LOT of PS2 and Gamecube games, but no good Xbox games. I guess I'll try again Wednesday.

Anyway, I guess I'll take a drive to my local store to see what's left. Can anyone confirm, are these always in a clearance bin, or are some of them still on the shelves and you have to know which ones to ask to get rung up at the cashier?

Some are still on the shelves. Print out one of the lists floating around and they'll ring up at $4.99. Though there are problems with Greatest Hits titles... they may have a sticker on them that keeps them from ringing up for the sale. Just get the employee to peel it off.

went to CC this morning 30 mins before they opened and waited.

I was the 2nd person in the store, and when I got in they had 6 Gamecube/XBox games. And I don't mean different titles. Legends of Wrestling or NHL 2002/2003 were the only ones.

The PS2 bin had maybe 15 games but I didn't check it out.

Hi all,

I got some at one of Houston Store.

Only had so sports games. It was "Beach Volleyball Summer Heat" and "Legends of Wrestling 2"
BUT I scored the $.01 game "Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance" on the SHELF. It makes me feel better with missing all the great games out there.

The other games I picked up earlier last week were Turok: Evolution, MDK2, Roadkill, Resident Evil Code Veronica X. Beyond Good & Evil, and Virtual Fighter 4 all for PS2

All this was by going to 3 different stores and looking on the shelf as well as the bin. My bro picked up 3 of these for me by his house. So, I got 9 games looking at least 5 stores in Houston. I also checked back on Sunday, but I dont think there was anything held back since July 3rd. Also the sports games that I did not pick up were all gone. I think they had 8 copies of Jet X2O at the Almeda store, but its all gone by Sunday. It looks like the deal may be dead in Houston since it looks like they held anything back. Your only chance may be finding something left on the shelf.


Now where can I find some cheap Mem cards or cable?

EB Games sells the used 8MB Nyko PS2 memory cards for $14.99, new ones for $19.99. Official memory cards are $19.99 used and $24.99 new. I think a 2-pack is $39.99.

I just went with the used Nyko. Never had a problem before.

VF4 was available in Houston for the PS2 system in Baybrook Mall in Houston. It was on the shelf and behind VF4 Evolution was $19.99. This was last week so its probably gone now.

If y'all are hurtin' from missing some good deals, check eBay... a lot of the games from the list are (or are about to) be going for ultra-low prices since the online market will be flooded with them for a few weeks. It sucks paying $7-10 instead of $4.99, but I've won two auctions so far. As long as you aren't hoping for a $8 Disgaea, you might be pretty happy with your findings.

Also consider this a bump for Wednesday, since CC restocks on Wednesday and Saturday. Doubtful anything will come in, but you never know.
