Hmm, what's the ratio for trade-ins for new games: 3 for 1 or 5 for 1, I forget... ^^

How much are local stores paying for the games? The most I ever get offered is like $5-6, which is almost less than the amount I paid after you factor in NY tax.

Anyone have Mario Party 4 or Bomberman Generations they wanna send me for free? It'd make my baby brothers really happy.

Or maybe I should just buy them an XBOX and give them Voodoo Vince and Dino Crisis 3

TIP TO EBAY SELLERS:

1) Do your research and don't over-saturate the market. If you were slow to post your auction on ebay, oh well, wait your turn. Chances are the selling price will be higher than the $5 you paid even a couple months down the road. You'll help those selling before you, as well as yourself.
2) When an item is sold, you have the option to offer another copy of the same item to the 2nd highest bidder, 3rd highest bidder, etc. This disguises what would otherwise be a buyer's market.

TIP TO EBAY BUYERS:

1) Hassle your ebaying friends to dump all their games on the ebay market asap, even when there's already 10 copies of a game that has been selling for as low as a penny in some instances. This way you can buy a $4.99 game for $0.01. :-D

Unless your name is Madden, sports titles often hold little to no value because of their yearly designations.

i was in gamestop last week (yes, pricing ico yet again), and the clerk told this guy he would only give him $1 for max payne and spiderman the movie EACH. i felt so sad for the cat that i walked to the other side of the room to get away from that

I wouldnt count on it, i went to baybrook yesterday and got Roadkill and thats about all they had left, i think there was a copy of buffy, Robin Hood and Run Like Hell, again the PS2 and GC were the most cleaned out.

I was poor after Sunday, now poorer today after the first updated list... But now that I have all these games, I don't have to spend money on things like food and gas...

I'm in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Orange Park location was cleaned out Sunday. Avenues Mall location has a bigger stock, but I wouldn't doubt it may be near scavenged already. I saw a lot of employees looking through the games as well.

I'd wager it's mostly a southern regional store, but a lot of people plan on taking their finds to a used game chain called Rhino's. They have a deal where you can trade in two games worth $12 and get a new game $49.99 or below free. In fact, I heard the employees talking about sending someone out to go get games for them since they're stuck at work.

RE: Syberia (xbx). Rang up for $19.99 at the OP store, and $4.99 at the Avenues location. If this is chain-wide, I don't understand how they could have varying prices.

I picked up MGS 2: Substance, Wild Arms 3, and Spyhunter 2 with the intention of playing them, but if I can trade 2 of them for Madden 2005 or NCAA 2005 that seems the much more valuable route...

I checked out that site and it looks like that's for cash payouts though. Generally, trade-in values are higher than sell values. Thanks for the info though.

Last time (a year or two ago) I tried to give them sealed games, they were pissed (as the same sort of cheap game trade-in 'o-rama was going on at the time) and told me to at least leave the store, take off the wrapper, then come back.

So my guess is...no. Could give it a shot, though.

I'll add for those trading them in, gamestop is running a deal that with a coupon you can get $3 more on each trade in. The coupon is on a ad that was sitting next to the counter.

Went back to the Glen Burnie, Maryland CC and it looks as if they either Restocked or Just put them all in bins cause i went there earlier today before i went to work and they had 5 "titles for 4.99/each" bins full of games granted most were dupes but i picked up many titles i missed the first time i went i picked these up

Went to all those, they had games but were cleared out on Sunday (I know because I went back there Monday to pick up a few more games and nothing was left). But they said check back Sunday.
