Hulu is pointless

So I'm paying for Hulu to watch commercials and the DAMN shows have expired!!!!!

What the hell is the point of Hulu?

I knew they still had commercials (which is why I didn't pony up once they went pay model only), but they still have the fuckin time release junk?

I'm curious what will happen with Hulu once Disney gets its streaming service up and running, since Disney will control like probably 2/3 of the content on Hulu after buying FOX.

I'm liking their TV service so far. They have some bugs to work out for sure and their interface is clunky but $40\mo for Hulu, local channels, ESPN, BTN, Bravo, HGTV, HD TV and DVR is a pretty good price IMO. There is another downside in that some stations don't let you skip commercials, some do and some give you limited commercials. The Pitt v Jax game had no commercials while the Min v Nola game (different channel) had limited commercials I couldn't skip

Yeah, it seems that all of the content that I actually want to watch is now spread over 5 different $10+ a month pay TV services. So, basically I need to wait for it to eventually get released on BluRay, or brave the high seas for me booty. Yarr!

I remember when Hulu was practically free. Now it's paid-for garbage and Southparkstudios went Hulu so if I want to watch an episode, I have to pony up money. No wonder why people torrent.

Not just that, the watermarks/banners/animations are so bad on current programming. At this rate it will be a complete border around the screen with ads like Idiocracy! And a lot sooner than 550 years from now. That 120" 32K TV sounds great until your realize the viewable area on regular TV is only 30"!

I went to the speedtest.net site from a computer with no adblocking and holy moly! You need a quad core cpu just to power the ads without stuttering! :|

I agree. I avoided Hulu until October '17...

A video game I play offered big rewards for Hulu sign up.

So I start watching Seinfeld, family matter, home improvement....

I didn't choose any preferences, and I'm sitting there with my kids watching those shows, and every damn commercial was for Shameless. I had to go in a pick a bunch of commercial preference, Shameless is not a show my young kids should be exposed to even by commercial.

Kids shows don't have commercials so far...

It's 7/month right now, dunno how long I'll keep it, but I do like watching old shows on it. Home improvement gets my kids ROFL

I'm going to be giving Hulu TV a try this weekend. Both it and Youtube TV are now in my neighborhood. I will try both and see which interface I prefer.

I have it but hardly watch it (it came bundled with Spotify for like $3/month or something for both so I figured f it, I can afford it and it's there if I wanna check it out). I watch YouTube/Netflix/Amazon Video almost exclusively and even then don't run out of stuff to watch on those.

Futureman is awesome as well. Still my vote for best new show last year.

Omg it really is. My Apple TV uses it and it's horribly frustrating. I switch over to my stock AndroidTV just for Hulu.
