Hulu

Lately when watching stuff on Hulu, the actual show I am watching plays fine but the commercials end up freezing every few seconds, making it take longer to get back to the show.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

It's just really weird.

I have not experienced this with commercials. I am trying to figure out why Hulu desktop is choppy, like the FPS are cut in half. I have consistently smooth playback over the website.

When playing Hulu on your 1080p TV, how does the picture quality look? Same question for Netflix streaming movies.

actually, hulu has been skipping the commercials for me lately. pauses, I see 1 second of commercial and then the show is back.

Ad block usually blocks Hulu's ads. I love it when it gives me the option to watch a 2 minute ad and the rest ad free. Then it fails to load the ad and has a 30 second count down.

Hulu looks good to me. Its not as good as HD of coarse but good enough. I watch nearly all my Tv shows through hulu. Netflix depends on what you are using to watch streaming on your tv with. If its a computer you are stuck with SD def and they look just ok most of the time and sometimes like crap. With a bluray player or console that supports netflix streaming some stuff is available in HD and it looks pretty damn good. Even the SD stuff seems to look better imo.

I've had the same thing. The short 15-30 second ads throughout the show play fine. When they do the long ad upfront, it always fails to load.

The shows I watch play fine, no lag or skipping, etc. Its only doing this on the commercials. Normally I wouldn't care because I don't pay attention to the commercials, but it makes a 30 second commercial take like 45 seconds or longer.

I've noticed that sometimes it does skip the commercial after like 5 seconds.

I watch Hulu on my 42" 1080P TV through my PS3 and it looks good. It's not HD, but it's good enough.
