I got in on it because of Thief & Soul Suspect. The rest I already have. Pretty sick deal if you don't own any of the games.

I am tempted by these two as well, but neither got really great reviews, especially Soul Suspect. Are they on Steam? Might wait for a 5 dollar sale sometime. I have most of the other games. I was pleasantly surprised by Tomb Raider, and thought SC 2 was not as terrible as some made it out to be.

Both are on Steam. Based on the Steam reviewers, both Soul Suspect and Thief are by no means terrible. There's enough positive to balance out the negatives. I never played the original Thief so I don't have anything to measure by. I suspect neither are worth their retail price but at this price you're going to be hard press to find a better deal even during the Steam Sale.

If anything, you can get the bundle and trade away your other games on www.Steamgifts.com.

I've recently finished Murdered: Soul Suspect.

It's not great. I appreciate what they were going for, but the story ends up being weak and they inserted some very forced stealth sections to "spice it up." Add to that some bizarrely placed checkpoints with no options for a manual save, and it's just an average game.

As a concept, I still love it. I enjoy mysteries, and this game tries to get you actually solving them. But there are issues with what they perceive certain emotions to look like, or they were incapable of rendering them properly. There are a couple times where you are expected to make some large leaps of logic. At least you're not penalized for guessing wrong, per se. It's not as if perfectly solving gets you anything.

The story wasn't fleshed out very well. Background information was wonderful, but the main story just seemed shallow.

L.A. Noire does the mystery game better, though.

All in all, I didn't have too many problems wanting to finish the game to find out what was happening. On the cheap, I have no issues saying that you might as well give it a shot if you're curious.

As for the bundle itself:
The only game I would have had any interest in was Deus Ex:HR DC, but Steam regularly sells it for less than the BTA. I don't own Thief, nor do I care to, and I own everything else already.

Dang it, right company, wrong game for me. Was thinking of trying FF8 as I never played it but didn't like the price I was seeing it for.

I will say that I have played Final Fantasy 1-10 (including dimensions, FFIV the After Years, and X-2), and I thought FF8 was the second worst one (behind X-2, which I could not force myself to finish.) It isn't really worth buying unless it is really cheap in my opinion. The only part I really liked was the card minigame. The regular gameplay and the storyline were really really bad.

Sleeping dogs would easily still be worth 15 alone. What a great bundle.

how is that? i thought it was better and that it added a way to NOT fight the bosses (which was a pain in the ass when i played the game since i was all stealth)
The original PC port was handled by Nixxes, and it had it's own set of PC specific fixes on top of Eidos' more general console patches to cover the keyboard controls, stuttering issues, GPU incompatibilities etc. When Eidos released the directors cut, they used the fully patched console version as a base, so all of the issues the PC version had at launch were back in, along with a lot of new corrupt textures. Since then, I believe they have released a couple patches and have managed to reimplement some of the fixes from the first release, but as far as I know, the DC is still the buggier version. That's saying something too, as I just completed the first PC release, and it was one of the buggiest games I'd played in years.

The only game I don't have is Murdered: Soul Suspect and it's been $6 before, so I will pass on this.

I've been debating this one for Tomb Raider and Thief, both of which I do not have (might not have Supreme Commander 2 either, but I played the original and just never could get into it). Waiting to see what gets added, as that might make the difference if I pull the trigger.

I'm on the flip side of that opinion. I think 8 is constantly underrated, especially compared to 7.

I've only played 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13.
