Why should the Dems impeach him if there is no support from the GOP to either impeach in the house or convict him in the Senate?
Putting this solely on the Democrats is just wrong, at least some members of the GOP need to step up to the plate as well. Impeachment is a political solution and should have at least some support from both parties since it is such a drastic step under our system of government.

Sorry, but Republicans will never step up to the plate and take responsibility either for their faults, or to stop any sort of international threat that doesn't stand to benefit them in any way. This is their MO, and there is no other program in their brains that allows them to deviate from this path.
If there was ever a time for Republicans to take any kind of responsibility in defending this country from direct attack, it would be when Mitch refused to work with Obama in addressing the threat from Russian cyber terrorism. Obviously there are many reprehensible acts of treason against this country, over the last 4 and 5 decades that we can easily attribute to the GOP, but they sure do seem to be piling up more an more frequently as the party descends into full batshit insanity.

They should do it because if they really feel like they say they do it is their job to impeach. Period.
After that is done then the Senate needs to do it job... The house shouldn't predicate its responsibility based on what the Senate may or may not do.
