nearly every part of florida has been affected. check mapblast and see where it is, unless it is north of jacksonville or something like that then he is probably correct

But will be delayed for a couples of extra days at the least.

Allow an extra 3-4 days for anything going in or out of Fla.

xenocyd3,

I live abut 10 miles from Lake Mary. Let me explain this so you can understand it:

You remember Hurricane Charley?
Do you remember Hurricane Frances?
Floridians living in Central Florida do. If you plot both storms their paths actually crossed about 40 miles southwest of Orlando.

Anyone within 100 miles has been GREATLY affected by not one but BOTH of these storms. Some have lost power, some have lost their roofs (like part of mine) and others have lost entire homes to wind or flood or both.

Your answer id YES! Lake Mary was affected by TWO hurricanes and sorry to say but the guy you sent the $110 probably has better things to worry about then sending your stuff. Be patient and you will probably get your stuff eventually.

Guys, sorry for the rant but I find it hard to believe in this day and age (especially with the Internet) that people cannot easily find this information on their own. I simply cannot believe that the question was asked in the first place. (rant over)

im sure the entire state got affected. we shipped via fedex and the local rep insisted that we not ship anything to florida last week because they were not flying in there.

If you click on the FPL link that VictorLazio provided take a look at that large red blob in the middle, right next to the insert that states "Seminole 4800". Lake Mary is in Seminole County and right in the middle of that blob.

Now I hear that we might have a third hurricane early next week (Ivan).

Great! Now xenocyd3's item may be delayed even longer!

They probably got pretty hit pretty hard. I'm way north west of him and there was a ton of damage around here.

Go ahead and rant, you've earned it. Here's hoping you stay far away from Ivan & any more friends.

Go here

Lake Mary is in seminole county. They're dealing with power outages, flooding, etc. etc. so stop being an asshat and thinking that you got ripped off. The guy is no doubt dealing with more important things at the moment.

I was actually in Lake Mary during Frances. There was a lot of wind and rain, fallen tree branches and flooding. But not more than any other part of Central Florida, really. We had power the entire time except for a couple minutes.

Actually I have a different perspective.
I live right in Orlando and if I was in a deal, it wouldn't take me but 30mins of my time to send a package out.

When Charlie hit the first time, I lost power for 6 days. Thinking back, if I was in a deal, I could have been a day or 2 late(only because the PO was closed) but it doesn't take much to drive to the PO.

As of Wed, most places are open now.
Sure there are more important things to worry about but how hard is it to spend 30mins of your day to make good on a deal.
If he's telling you it won't be a while, then I feel he's using the huricane to be lazy.

While it's true a bazillions gallons of water fell, NONE was salt water.............guess you failed grade school science classes, eh? When water evaporates, be it salt or fresh, the solutes, such as all the minerals like salt, stay put. They don't evaporate up to the clouds.....only the H2O does.

That said, hate to be in FL right now.....2 hurricanes in a month and another on its way. Good luck to y'all.
