I see the current projection has it going right on top of Montreal.

^^ This - the storm hasn't even peaked yet. Yesterday the winds were 85 mph, today they're 90 mph, the barometric pressure is the same as a cat4, and the system hasn't even reached landfall yet. The storm is only moving at something like 16 mph; the danger isn't the wind but the enormous amount of water being dumped everywhere because it's so slow that it will linger around dumping more water.

If it's wind driven rain damage it's covered, if it's the rise of a body of water it's a flood and not covered without a flood rider.

Flood insurance is an addition that covers any flooding. I think that they looks for a line on the walls that show a flood rather than water pouring in from the roof.
