It looks like some kind of ramp so the water is flowing down and the cars are making it do these crazy rapid style waves. That's my guess. It looks pretty epic but I can't help but feel bad for everyone getting their property destroyed. Sucks having to pretty much start over. Guess at the end of it all what counts is safety.

its flowing top to bottom in the pic, it looks strange because its a long exposure and the light is catching the splash back off the cars

yeah, the damage numbers on this storm are gonna be crazy. lots of flood damaged cars coming out of the NE soon.

LOL, I just walked the dog to go check this out. There isn't any water down there. Dumbasses at The Gothamist posted pictures of the water main that broke a few months ago.

Look at the picture, it's sunny out.

Good catch, there are a lot of opportunities to take advantage of the Sandy-crazed media right now. Practically every station on the east coast is begging for user submitted photos and video, with little vetting done.

I would say a majority of it is real, however.

Example: CNN and other stations reported the NYSE trading floor was flooded. It was retweeted ad-nauseum in minutes. Now it's reported fake.

Baaaaaack. Grabbed my iPad at school. I didn't want to power the desktop, which would have meant powering the modem, which probably would have meant finding out that ISP is down. It looks like NYC could be paralyzed from some of this damage to their mass transit system.
