36 Killed
8million+ without power
15,000 flights cancelled around the world
Approx 14ft surge of seawater in some areas.
Fire destroyed 100ish homes in Queens
And many other small incidents around the area.
Finally stopped raining here last night around 9, about 2 and a half days after it started. Front yard has a decent slope but back took so much water it started puddling heavily on the lawn. Overnight the water must have managed to finally drain down enough as situation reports at midnight still had many roads /interstate exits closed from water.
Neighbor next to me had the tarp on the carport thing in his back yard shredded and looks like my fence gate swelled from the water then bound from the wind a bit causing some planks to deform. Otherwise not much permanent damage in my neighborhood.
one thing i noticed about most of those tree's that were knocked over is how many leaves are still on them. thankfully i'd say at least 50% of the leaves are off of the trees around my house which is probably a huge reason we never even lost power.
