I live in SW Florida... My parents in SE Florida...
Were packing our bags this morning and waiting to see where the track ends up...
My house (wood construction) is only built to withstand 115-120mph winds...
Good move!
Hope you and your family stay safe please!
The good news is it should weaken.
Yep, glad its peaking early...
At least 2 of the models have it pretty much overhead...
Any chance of ANYTHING 120+ by thursday, were outta here.
I hope it moves pretty quickly as well soon because water damage is just as bad as wind damage, if not worst.
Then again if you get wind damage your bound to get water damage too.
Well im about 2.5-3mi from the gulf....
If a cat 5 hit, we would flood... But cat 4 and under were not in what they believe to be the flood zone.
Were planning our alternate routes north right now as I-75 will be a nightmare.
Nice to here that you all are planning a alernate route to make sure everyone gets out of there, if need be, pretty quickly. I can't imagine what I-75 will look like either.
Do you know if anyone left yet?
It has been one really crazy hurricane season.
