Interesting, tiny wind field. It may not strengthen any more, but the windfield is going to likely grow by leaps and bounds over the next couple of eyewall cycles.
Yeah, really tiny.. pretty interesting.
Frankly, it's more like madness. It's late Ocotober, this ****** shouldn't be happening.

Hurricane Mitch happened in Oct.

Really? Doesen't hurricane season last well into November?

Yeah, the officially recognized end of the hurricane season is November 30th. It would be great if Wilma is the last one but it might not be.

Actually yes but thats only a set time. There have been hurricanes pass Nov. 30 and easily can be.

There will be another Major Hurricane this year.

Maybe a 4th Cat. 5

Ya, but the season normally slows down and intensity drops after mid-September. To get a strong storm this time of the year is rare, to get a record breaker like this is unprecidented. You would expect such a storm to form between mid-August and mid-September, when water temperatures are at their peak.

I live in SW Florida... My parents in SE Florida...

Were packing our bags this morning and waiting to see where the track ends up...

My house (wood construction) is only built to withstand 115-120mph winds...

The depressing this is, i drive through Port Charlotte area every month or so, the area is still devistated.

I hope it moves pretty quickly as well soon because water damage is just as bad as wind damage, if not worst.

Then again if you get wind damage your bound to get water damage too.

Well im about 2.5-3mi from the gulf....

If a cat 5 hit, we would flood... But cat 4 and under were not in what they believe to be the flood zone.

Were planning our alternate routes north right now as I-75 will be a nightmare.

Nice to here that you all are planning a alernate route to make sure everyone gets out of there, if need be, pretty quickly. I can't imagine what I-75 will look like either.

Do you know if anyone left yet?

It has been one really crazy hurricane season.

What is the chance national weather service will start to use this saiyan scale? I bet it would be more effective on telling the danger and destruction it will cause at least to anime fans.

The same people that live in California where there are earthquakes...same people that live in the midwest where there are tornados...same people that live in Jamaica, same people that live in Haiti...same people that live in New York or Boston where it is cold as hell in the winter...

I'm amazed on the stupidity that some humans display such as yourself...
