well since there is no known international independent group of people evaluating video cards based on accepted criteria, we'll just call that your opinion.

Well Leadtek OCs the highest, includes special high quality HS's and produces the highest performance at stock in most of the reviews. Leadtek's are very nice. What good is BFG's lifetime warranty if you decide that you are going to bump up the core or memory clock by a mhz or more?

says who? every card is different. one Leadtek card isn't going to overclock the same as another Leadtek card.

includes special high quality HS's

as does BFG's 6800GT

and produces the highest performance at stock in most of the reviews.

got a link to a roundup?

Leadtek's are very nice.

i agree.

no good at all, but the poster didn't say anything about wanting to overclock his card. he's worried about noise and keeping his card cool.

Having a BFG 6800GT with the dual fan/heat pipe, I can tell you that 1) the card is quiet and 2) the card stays cool. Throw in a lifetime warranty and you have your answer as to which card to go with.

I have never used a Leadtek, but I can tell you BFG has some of the best support I have seen in ANY company, if not the best.

I couldn't decide so my dad just ended up buying me both cards. They'll be coming in next tuesday Thanks for all the help guys. As you can tell, my hobby is to collect video cards, and of course: gaming.

Here's my experience:

I had to RMA my 6800GT, and normally they would cross ship (in other words, you pay for shipping and they send you out a card immediately, then you have 30 days to send back your defective card), but since the GTs are in demand, there aren't enough to cross ship.

So I sent in my card, and 11 days later I got a refurbed 6800GT back and it's working like a charm.

Customer service was excellent.

Well, shiat! :Q

Since i am assuming you are using AGP, not PCI-e (IOW, no SLI), i'm interested to hear which one you keep.

BFG ALL THE WAY! I can say for certain it was my best buy (AGP) for my rig- as I purchased it in November '04 for about 265 thanks to great part time job discount and a rebate from BFG for a % below wholesale. But it proves to be a good at pushing itself farther and farther, no problem at 430/1122 but will go further(and has) easily. the only question now is will a zalman heatsink be better to oc the card with.

One tip- use the nvidia beta drivers, big jump in 3DMARK05 with just a driver change

IMO BFG are POS, lots of returns not matter is support is good, you ideally not want to use it.

I say again, i have never heard of BFG in UK b4 6800's and i had heard of Visiontech and when they dies POS PNY took place, i dont get whay BFG claim 10% oc out box as many good manus use 425mhz core and not claim 10%o/c, remember nvidia said min spec of ultra as at launch was 400/1000 so that means every ultra with 400/1100 is o/c lol, i only know 1 with these 400/1000 rest are 400/1100 or 435/1100, fact is i dont like what ive read all over web about BFG, i only use Jap Chaintechs since way back on G 2 GTS ULTRA.

The leadtek is ok but that big cooler still lets it run hotter than my card in all reviews ive seen on web, i can get gpu above 52C max on load in room temps of 21-23C, leadtek were newish when G Force 3 was released and made there name on making the best G force 3 cards, this was when 3 was new and overpriced before TI 200 and TI 500 were added.

I know peeps in UDS like to buy own makes but Jap stuff is prob better, there is tons manus far better than BFG.

BFG if the lifetime warranty is improtant to you.

But there are reports of fans dying on BFG odd 2 fan setup, being noisy or temps being too high.

Leadtek has a very good hs design but the fan is weak but quiet. The warranty is 3yrs.

Yeah like the cards will have a value of <50$ after 3 years anyways. So why bother?
