hwinfo64 report vcore voltage up to 2 voltage and sometimes 1.5 -no gaming-no stress

I noticed in max value the vcore voltage was 2V
and during watching some youtube videos
hwinfo64 report vcore 1.5v for a sec

I stress test the cpu with aida64 (full load) for 10 seconds
and vcore was stable 1.240v

so whats wrong with hwinfo64 report up to 2v for a 1 second I thing only ??

ga z170x gaming 5

all settings on my bios are at defult auto
also vcore is at defult 1.290v ---auto
I did not touched anything in my bios
since build my computer 1 week ago .


Other than that the readings stay constant depending on load.

but do you realy thing my cpu get 2 vcore voltage for a second like hwinfo64 report ??
even if all my bios settings are auto ??

I suspect it is a quirk of the newness of Skylake and the Skylake chipsets?

Try XTU? See if it shows the same thing.

I opened the program (hwinfo64) since 1 hour and it did not happened again

it rarely happen but why hwinfo64 report a spike of vcore voltage up to 2 V
for a second then come again to normal ??

I'm not overclocking and everything is defult in bios

If other programs don't report it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I was running hwinfo64 and gigabyte system information viewer at the same time
I set both to alet me when vcore reched 1.3
hwinfo64 gave an alert cpu vcore 1.560v
gigabyte system information viewer did not gave me any alert
????????

Or do you think Aida64 and Gigabyte are accurate?

Have you tried XTU yet?

Do you have the latest BIOS for the board, released 9/1?

why hwinfo64 alert me of vcore voltage 1.5 and sometime 2 v

I don't know if the mobo would shut down.

2V could possibly damage the 6700K.

I doubt if HWinfo is accurate with the 2V reading.

You don't seem to want to use XTU to monitor/graph the vcore, so I don't know what else to tell you.
