Hypothetically, if you had $2500 in Vegas

Well, what if a a guy had $2500, a trip to Vegas, etc., would you lose the money, or would you profit?

If profit, please explain how you would beat the house.

Playing at casinos has negative expected value. Nobody goes to casinos to win. In the long run you always lose. Obviously, otherwise there would not be any casinos.

As long as you find a hot table, Most times its difficult to walk away with a good amount of cash from craps.

If you know how to play blackjack try that. I was in vegas 2 weeks ago, ended up 100 in single deck blackjack, $5 table, and at one point I was up 190 on craps, $5 table, but the table got real cold and I hung in to long and ended up losing it all.

If you are good at Hold Em Poker, it is the only game you can beat since you are playing against other players rather than the house.

If you want to lose money the slowest go with either blackjack or craps as they offer by far the best odds in a casino.

hookers are not legal in vegas county, I would pay for my hotel and hold on to enough for food then bet the rest on black, regardless of the outcome I would spend the rest of my stay cheaply.

Im going to Vegas this Sunday night with my gf. We're staying 3 nights at the MGM grand. We have tickets for La Reve. Im going up there with spending money and $1000 for gambling. I honestly dont plan on playing much else other than slots. I just want to relax in front of a machine, with a girly drink, maybe an amaretto sour, and play the slot machine with $100 in quarters.

We also plan on dining out a lot. I want to do a couple buffets and she wants to dine at some other places like Emeril.

Im going there with the expectation that I will lose all $1000 gambling money; that way, if I lose, Im not dissapointed, and if I win, I happy as hell.

I might play some blackjack and craps also.

I just got back from Vegas on Monday (got there Friday) with about $5k and came back with nothing. I had fun though. Most of my winning actually came from roulette believe it or not. I was very successful in blackjack at first, but couldn't hold the momentum. I'm not much of a gambler though.

Amazing you mention that. That's exactly what I had in vegas for my friend's bachelor party. Won big in a poker game the second night (to get the $2500). Had 2 more nights and a day. Spent around $600 on err... personal entertainment, another 400-600 on the poker tables, 100-200 at the strip joints and a couple hundred more on the booze. Still came out with more money tho
