8.5 minute wait on hold this time. ok, so i hear from "ashley" this time. they have 3-6 days from the day of your order to FIND OUT if the item is in stock.
here's the science:
CompUsa orders "xxx" number of these units from "outside company A", "outside company A" then has 3-6 days to ship them to CompUsa's warehouse. This is when we figure out if we've been hosed or not, cause they will then know if they have enough in stock and/or if it's the correct model. Then CompUsa ships them out to us. This is what I got from "Ashley" in CSR at CompUsa. Apparantly, CompUsa has already sold the "xxx" number of units they ordered from "outside company A", and that is why it is no longer on sale on their website.
I hope someone actually did their homework somewhere along the line and made sure they got the CORRECT product, ie the "+" model.
OH, and Ashley was VERY rude and sternly suggested that CompUsa is not to be bothered again until the 3-6 day window has passed. =/ *** I wonder if they keep a record of calls about an order? Maybe that's why she was annoyed with me? ***
