Anybody else from MN have to deal with the I-35W protest this morning? It basically affected thousands of peoples commute and local businesses took a hit when traffic was backed up from the on ramps to the highway. Pretty insane...

There was a group of black lives matter protestors at the taste of Chicago this past weekend. It's a huge clusterfuck of people anyway, and this giant group of motionless jackoffs just got in the way. They just pissed people off, they didn't prove anything. They even yelled at children for getting too close. I saw one guy who had his fist up in the protest & chanting yell at a kid and his parents saying "keep yo BABIES BACK! This ain't no place for KIDS!" Uh... you can fuck right off. You're in the middle of a giant festival that is very much meant for the family.

And I know I'll get in trouble for going down this road, but it's something that was noticed. There's a very specific subset of this "community" that was in this protest. There were plenty of African American families enjoying the festival, and they were just as annoyed and embarrassed by the protesting as anybody else there. The ones in the protest seemed like the type that either already had, or will have run-ins with police due to their own actions. This was Chicago though...

Probably, though emergency personnel are expected to be prepared for road closures regardless of the cause.

I really don't get why a bunch of cops and police cruisers would just stand idly by and watch these protesters rather than moving in and getting them out of there. If blocking the major arteries for emergency vehicles is illegal, why does it take over an hour after police has arrived before people were arrested?

For the record the police did get them out of there. 41 people arrested. And the group wasn't BLM, it was a white group friendly to BLM.

Don't they know that as "allies" they are expected to sit down, shut up and never be visible while BLM champions social justice and black empowerment. They just committed faux pas #1 regarding white sycophants of BLM. Once they're reminded I'm sure their guilt meters will go off the scale.
