What's ironic is how the laws are switched around when it comes to meth. In the US, crystal meth is officially recognized as having medical uses and is sold under the name Desoxyn. In Canada, crystal meth has no medical use and is illegal in all cases.
What's interesting about Canada is that it's a perfect example of what happens when countries have different drug laws. Canada is generally a lot more relaxed than the US when it comes to drugs. As such, Canada is a gigantic source of meth and ecstasy. It doesn't cause local problems since much of this meth is shipped out to other countries. This isn't the first time this happened. While the US completely banned alcohol from 1919 to 1933, Canada did not. Wiki says their national ban was only between 1918 and 1920. Quebec's provincial ban on alcohol was enacted then repealed in the same year of 1919. From 1920 all the way to 1933, making alcohol in Canada then selling it to Americans at inflated prices was big business. A century later, the same thing is happening, and people refuse to learn from the past.
