Congrats! Grandkids are the greatest. When the first one was first learning to talk, their first attempt at grandpa was "Babaw", and it stuck. He's 23 and still calls me Babaw. I love it...

I babysat them when they were only 2 weeks old, and today they are adults. One a firefighter/paramedic, the other a deputy and part-time firefighter.

Living where Helene absolutely stomped us back 100+ years, they have been our lifeline for food, water, and much more, which considering they are both spend hours and hours saving others through their work.

They are both grown men today, and not ashamed to say "I love you" and hug us, regardless of where we are with them. Tell them you love them every time you see them. Went to the fire station was working at, as they had water we could get, and with probably 10+ other firefighters, got my hug and "love ya" in front of all his coworkers.

Not kidding myself, their momma, our daughter had a lot to do with that.

Of course, the entire area has been without water for 7 days now, with best estimate in weeks till it is restored, hugs might be put on hold for a while.
