Agreed. Surgery is surgery and it's not trivial. Take it easy. More rest now = better recovery. Plus, if your back hurts, anything you do will be uncomfortable and that'll make you more tired.

Even when I recently got my lasik (relatively minor surgery) done, my wife made sure I rested as much I could the next couple of days.

You should've considered doing the surgery when you have some holidays/time off.

There is no reason to, she has the most flexible boss ever. I swear, she gets 10 official days off and she must have taken 25 paid this past year.

youre right... i was pretty lucky with the time off thing. i am feeling a lot better today than prior so i will be good to go tomorrow. Our next holiday (i am HOPING) we are going to go to cancun or jamaica! no time for surgery then!

She's basically refused to take any of the medication that's in pill form, just the liquid Tylenol III and liquid Zmax antibiotic. The anti-histamine, anti-inflammatory, and muscle relaxants have just sat there. The doctor said it was ok, though.

It's easy for her to post since we have a laptop though, as long as I pick it up and set it in her lap :laugh:
