(CNN)?Barack Obama blamed the 'conservative press' Wednesday for negative attacks on his wife Michelle.

?What happened was that the conservative press?Fox News and the National Review and columnists of every ilk?went fairly deliberately at her in a pretty systematic way,? Obama told Glamour Magazine.

http://politicalticker.blogs.c...r-attacks-on-michelle/

I am not proud of America at all... because of how its been past 8 years, a total disaster. Those who attack Michelle Obama are idiots about that we need to be patriotic, how can we be patriotic and love out country if the leaders treat it and us like crap....

Those people who only care about them selves and only try to make money for them selves are patriotic? (this is according to McCain supporters) This is such non sense, discrace.

If McCain gets elected, we will be in the same spot as before. You know a lot of McCain supporters know that, they just don't care because they are scared of Obama...

Why has McCain changed so much since 2000, because the corrupted Republican party. Everytime I watch McCain speak, he keeps going on with lies and lies and you know what I think, it is not him but his republican friends and those who wrote the speeches for him. They are totally controlling him, if he wasn't, he would not have changed from 2000. I won't admit Democrats are perfect, but far much better than the Republicans and safer.

(He keeps going on that middle class would have increased taxes (lie), he says obama gainst nuclear energy (lie), he says obama against inovation and electric cars (super lie) - obama wants to invest 150 billion dollars.)

It is just so sad, beyond sad what has happened to this country.

What's worse is how much better McCain is than any of the other major Republican candidates. Or more accurately, how much worse they were than McCain.

If we'd elected Rudy, I'm pretty sure all our money would have some logo mentioning 9/11 on it.

Rudy would have relocated his campaign HQ to ground zero and picked the Freedom Tower as his running mate.

well of course it's that evil press, god forbid it would be what she said that's the problem...

?She?s the most honest person I know, she?s smart, she?s funny,? The Illinois senator said... well of course she is: everybody else he knows is a lying politician... and of course he thinks the truth is funny, he's a politician...

?I don?t have a thick skin when it comes to criticism of my wife,? Obama admitted. ?The problem is that rarely do these folks have the guts to say it to your face.? well of course they can't, he picks and chooses very carefully whom he'll let get close enuf to him to say anything...

I was happy in the 90's... they were great times.. under clinton administration, he didn't go to useless wars. We need a democratic president that won't attack a country just because he feels like....

I was pleased to hear Obama personally go after Sean Hannity today.

Sean is not only NOT "a great American" as he calls himself but IMO a Traitor and should be treated as such.

He IMO creates material that is not protected under free speech but used to be considered slander and libel. It is no different than yelling fire in a theater and he should be in prison.

Black Hawk Down?

Do you mean when President George H. W. Bush responded with Operation Restore Hope in December, 1992, when the vast majority of total personnel strength in Somalia was provided by the United States (some 25,000 out of a total of 37,000 personnel) ???

The Battle of Mogadishu was in early October, 1993.

This is the type of revisionist history we may expect from the Bush-iters on everthing from 9-11 to the illegal occupation of Iraq to illegal domestic wiretapping to torture and extraordinary rendition to .....

Bill Clinton was president in 1993, and if you read anything about the the battle of mog you would know that clinton played a role in the disaster that took place.

Wow, that sounds kind of like how the Dems blame Bush for 9-11, even though he inherited all of that crap from Slick Willy.

Yeah it was Clinton's fault that Bush ignored those who warned him of the possibility of an attack of the magnitude of 9-11.

Bush was only in office for 9 months on September 2001, and 3 of those months were spent cleaning up the mess the Clinton's left behind (e.g. vandalism at the white house, uncooperative bureaucrats, fallout from the election controversy, etc). 6 months was not enough time to undo the damage Clinton did to our intelligence gathering ability put in place to hide his own corrupt dealings.

Hey Quantum. Its hard to do work when you are on Vacation. Bush was on vacation in Texas from August 6th to August 25th of 2001. Really busy there for almost 3 weeks. REALLY BUSY. After he returned at the end of August that was his 54th day at his Ranch in Texas that year.

Give me a break.

Really? It took only 1/3rd of that to move troops into Afghanistan. Unfortunately, you seem to not be addressing the points Red clearly understands which is that the Bush administration at its highest levels received PLENTY of warning before 911 that something major was coming down. A key figurehead who had a particular disinterest in addressing the concerns that were being brought to her was Condi Rice.
