Anybody else get the feeling some of the people posting here are about two more election losses from full crackpot status?

Yeah, but lucky for them, their party is on a winning streak lately.

For all the liberals, kindly stfu

Hmm, that's exactly what Bush hopes to accomplish. Finally, someone has spelled out his real plan!

keep talking, I guess someday you will make sense

Bush was born in the image of God like everybody else. Maybe he is getting closer to his image. I can't really comment though since I didn't see his speech.

Are you blind? His speech tonight was nothing more than damage control for all the heat he's taken lately. The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that Bush's approval rating is at an all time low at 40%. I for one am not so gullible to believe that this guy is some great visionary leader. This is a guy trying to do damage control for a huge failure on the part of his administration.

Wow, I feel so proud...

Sure you did. Everyone saw it.

We saw it back in Jan. 2001. We saw it in March 2003.

Nothing's changed. Well, his fiscally responsible base is starting to quiver...even Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough are calling him a big spender. Too bad Peggy Lee isn't around any more.

Nice to see the best you could do was point out aesthetics and that you have no credible argument. Then again, we already knew that.

It's official. The 2000 campaign theme of "limited government" was all a lie.

Bush will go down as the biggest, big government president of all time. No wonder the price of gold goes up five dollars every day. The US dollar will be worthless because Bush is spending far more than he has.

It's going to take a lot of money. And America has money. In spades.

That is TOTAL BS and our tax bill in the next few years will prove it!

I'm beginning to think that W is more like Clintoon than anyone could have guessed. There are only two reasons that I can think of that might explain Bush's "spending spree".

1.-he's starting to worry more about his legacy than his (stated) philosophy.

2.-he's back on the sauce.

President George W Bush has promised the US government will do and spend whatever it takes

President Bush should have said:

will do and will reallocate from other programs whatever it takes.

Because he said the former and not the latter, I do not support President Bush. Socialism and fiscal insanity is not good for our nation.

Dang, I still think I might have missed the speech where Bush becomes a liberal.

Must have been on one of his evangelical speeches. You know, when he came to the realization that Jesus was a liberal. Only he listened to the filter and only took out the big-spending portion and forgot about the kindness and compassion.

I'd be happier if he moved OUT!

Sorry, but putting on the good show for one half hour doesn't quite make up for the totality of his screw ups for his entire administration... unless you think that's enough to cover all the damage his bogus war and consumate sellout of the American people to his contributors, along with his piss poor judgment in almost every decision he has made.

Yeah, give the poor guy a break. Being president is HARD WORK!

Only 42 men in history would truly know. Interesting how Clinton and Bush I became great friends. Possibly its related to the unique challenges faced by the Presidency.

Spoke clearly???

A clear solution???

He sounded like that drink he had at the UN -- yep, they showed it on Wolf Blitzer -- Bush with a brown alcohol looking drink in his hand -- raising it to his lips -- and taking a slug -- OMG, call Homeland Security -- Bush is off the wagon again.

Sloganeering and solutions that sound like "no city left behind" aren't engendering any pride for this fraud. And there is a hell of a lot more I can ask for, thanks. Like a resignation from this disgrace. The worst president in history.

Not the "first" family -- the "worst" family.

What you saw for the first time, was Karen Hughes accomplishing her first task since returning to the White House.

I have it on good authority that Karen Hughes is KKKarl Rove in drag.

The local Klan here says they would love to see Robert KKK Byrd as Klansman-in-chief.

It figures you'd be knowledgable about the local KKKlan's "activities".

He'd have to wait for Trent Lott to step down first.
