its been said many times,at least on the MSI board,that using the 3 and 4 SATA ports will correct this problem. just don't use 1 and 2.

I did try the drives on 1, 2, 3, and 4 SATA ports.
I will try disabling the SATA and putting back the IDE drives just to see what happens.
