I bought a 2250 mah battery off ebay for my Pre

The battery life is incredible, I would say it is easily double the stock battery. I needed a good battery for my long shift at work, three 12 hour days. During my off days I will use my stock battery because the extended battery makes the Pre huge. I bought it from a seller on ebay from Minnesota for 22 bucks shipped.

I had been thinking of doing the same thing. I also work two sets of 3 12's every month and the battery will barely eak through the end of the shift if I don't charge it. Most days it isn't a problem as I can charge it in the car but some days I'll get stuck out somewhere and that's when I need it and it doesn't make it.

WOW that's definitely a big difference but like you said you just use it when you need it and you said you got it for $22 so that's great.

DAMN ! But how does the Pre back cover close with that big of a battery ?

Problems I've had with eBay batteries is that even if they perform well initially (which is important to earn good feedbacks) they don't hold up anywhere near as OEM (by then, positive feedback is left).

I meant, they tend to lose their capacity much sooner than OEM battery.

i'm thinking about getting the one that is the same size yet slightly higher capacity. did you get yours from seido?

No, I got the Yoobao, only problems-replacement back has cracked in one of the corners and the audio is a bit muffled by the new back.

But, my current employer is death on using the work computer for anything but the company software, etc, so being able to surf the web on my phone all day is pretty handy. I also keep the gps & wifi on most of the time too.

i usually just plug my phone in while i'm at work to keep it charged. then it only really has to last me from work>home and whatever fun i have in between

The pics I've seen that make the G1 look like a brick. Definitely some battery technology improvements need to be employed in the next generation of smart phones though.

Just buy an extra battery and keep it in your car or work. That's what I do. Keep one charged in my car just incase I need it.
