It is a Desert Eagle 44 magnum in burnt bronze finish. I bought a 50AE barrel for it with two 50AE magazines so I can shoot either caliber through it simply by swapping the barrel (takes 5 seconds) and magazines.

Well, 44 magnum is about $50 for a box of 50 rounds. 50AE is $62 for a box of 20 rounds... and it's hard to find. I found a couple boxes plus the range I shoot at had some so I bought two more boxes there. I shot two boxes so I still have about 40 rounds of 50AE. Probably won't shoot that though unless they have more ammo next time I take it to the range.

This gun weighs over four pounds and shooting 44 magnum out of it is pretty tame. My son and I put 100 rounds of 44 magnum through it. The 50AE is quite a bit more pronounced in recoil but it isn't unmanageable. It is easier to shoot than shooting 44 magnum out of an N-frame revolver. Boy does 50AE make a loud boom though, especially at an indoor range.

I just window shopped for this setup, and, uh, I guess I'm going to just live vicariously in this regard. I did find the .429 DE interesting too, just another barrel swap away on your pistol.

And that's unloaded. The bullets for this thing are massive. Here is a 50AE magazine next to a 1911 45ACP magazine (middle) and a 9mm magazine (left).
