I bought some whiskey

How should I best enjoy this fine beverage?

I usually drink black label or most other scotches with an ice cube or two. Or open it up with a splash of filtered water. Should I do the same with the blue? or drink it neat?


If you suggest I mix it with anything I will fist you through the intertubes.

Drink it however you like your scotch. I say try it neat, then add a little bit of water, and then maybe an ice cube. Figure out which of the 3 you prefer on that first pour, then enjoy the rest of the bottle.

im digging the filtered water, you may want to freeze that filtered water for the large ice cubes.

Blue's nice, I actually liked the Gold better, ice works just fine. Gold iirc is the single malt, 2nd best, but less than half the price, I liked the taste better.

Why Johnnie Walker? If you're going to drink scotch, you can find a nice single malt that is both cheaper and better. Unless you're only bragging to impress people who know little beyond name brands, I suppose... in which case, you should also have picked up some Patron and Grey Goose.

But, like all scotch, I'd recommend that you drink it neat, or with a splash of still water.

Blue Label is delicious, I've only ever had it with 2 cubes (be this extremely infrequently).

Gold is still a blend of only single malts....
