Well, now she knows:

I asked her to go watch a movie with me tonight, and she asked if her boyfriend could go tonight - and told her that I wanted it to be me and her. She showed up at my house late, and when she did show up I was getting dressed.

She just walked in and waited in my living room. As I was walking downstairs, told her that I really needed to talk to her about something important. AS I got downstairs, I came to find that she was here with her boyfriend :| At that point, I got a little aggravated and told her that I really didn't want anyone to be here, I wanted to talk with her privately.

Then they both got upset , and my sister started saying that she didn't understand why I had such a problem with her boyfriend - at that point, I just blurted it out in a smartass tone in front of both of them "I really wanted to tell you that I was gay privatly, I really don't feel that this is any of his business."

She started crying, and her boyfriend said he would leave us alone and he went outside. At that point, I basically told her everything I stated in my original post here. She then said that I couldn't be gay because I liked Mariah Carey. At that point, I replied back with "How could you not think I was gay after that?!?"

I asked her why she was crying - if anyone should have been crying it would be me. She told me, as she laughed, that she didn't know. Everything was cool after that, I just asked her not to tell my mother and step-father because I wanted to be the one to tell them. Her boyfriend told me that everything was cool (I was thinking "Great, now my life can go on now that I have YOUR approval :roll: ).

We went to the movie, and had a great night.

I had one of my college buddies come out to me in a car as you did with your friend, was a totally random thing and something that I slightly expected, he was afraid to tell me though and I was the last to find out officially (he thought I would shun him)....we hung out a few times after that but honestly his life changed so much after he came out that we drifted apart, he started going out to clubs, picking up guys and such...he would always ask me to accompany him to the gay bars and would get upset when I told him that it wasn't my thing, he began to question why both myself and another friend of ours (which I assumed for a while he liked) were interested in women and how men were much better....sorry for going off a bit here but your story reminded me of him since the situation was similar, he now only talks to me when he has something important going on in his life....oh well good luck with it.

I'm glad that I'm not one of those people. One thing I believe is important is not too change who you are. When I first realized I was gay, I decided that I wouldn't go around trying to act loverly straight or do things I found uncomfortable. If someone asked me if I was gay, or course I'd say that I wasn't.

Other than being open with my sexuality, I'm the same person, and I don't act any different. I dont' walk around gawking at guys, or telling people who I think is hot. I'm just not very open sexually, and I don't think my sexual orientation would change that.

No, you're still wrong. ATOT still has a bunch of insensitive @ssclowns with little sympathy.
They're ready to jump on people for the little things.
Its just that your situation is very sensitive and noone would dare to make any insensitive remarks.
