Its an issue with Yahoo and Gmail. When I type my password for yahoo, I just get the Cannot find server error. And with gmail, if I type gmail.com, i get the same error. I disabled my firewall (Zonealarm) and same issue occurs.

btw, this doesnt happen on my Powermac with OS X or my HP laptop with Windows XP home. Just my AMD PC with XP Pro.

It is probably due to the fact that I am already logged in to your account.

I can't log into AIM nor MSN messenger, even when disabling my firewall.

With a thread title and description like this, you aren't going to get any serious answers. Maybe next time use your common sense a give an explanation of your actual problem in your original post instead of 5 posts down.

 I gave a detailed description. I do not need to post my issue in the first post. I have given an explanation. If you do not like the way I created this thread, boo hoo. You can disregard it.

 You're a retard.

Sounds like a dns issue. Are the working machines on the same network and using the same DNS settings as the broken one?

You could also be a bit more polite by providing relevant information in the original post.

What about DNS? Virus? Spyware?

Nevermind, I figured out what was going on. I have Norton Internet Security installed, but havent used it since I got the Zonealarm suite. I always kept Norton turned off. After enabling internet security, and allowing the Symantec stuff into Zonealarm, everything works fine.

Why must I enable Norton Internet security to do these things? They seem to rely on this stupid firewall. How do I stop it?

You have to enable it cuz you configured it that way. But I digress, Norton sucks, always has, always will.

BTW, as far as I could tell, nobody threadcrapped. However, there was some screaming little punter dog running around here peeing all over the furniture...
