I Can't Get My Pc To Work

Here's whats going on.I bought a computer for my cousin about 2days ago.I bought things from 2 different places,I got the cpu from 1 place & the moniter-sound card & a antec case from another since thats the one he wanted.So when i recived the cpu i hooked it up to my moniter to install some stuff before the other case & moniter got here.So i hooked it up and everything worked fine,i installed some software in it & everything.So when the case got here i took everything out and hooked it up the same why it was in the original one.so after i finished everything i want to turn it on.Here's what happen.

The power turns on & you hear the fans spinning but you don't hear any nosie like the pc starting up.
It just says on but im not getting no type of pic from my moniter.it just says no signal or then goes balck.
I tried 3 different moniters & 2 video cards that all work fine on my other pcs but still i get the same thing.No signal from my moniters & no nosie of the pc starting up.

Im using a ECS K7S5A Motherboard with a AMD Xp cpu.

try reseating your video card and cpu, and make sure everythings screwed on, and all the cables are plugged in, etc.

I did all that.and still nothing i even try to put it back in its original case and still nothing.When i power up the fans on the heatsink & case spins.

Plz all the help counts.

sounds to me like its the CPU... Have you tried it in any other Motherboards?! Do you have another to replace this one with for testing?!

I'll bet you did not use a static guard did you. I would think the board has a short but thats only my take.

First I would make sure that everything is connected correctly. It's easy to screw up the little connectors on the mobo for fans, HD's etc.

If that all works then I would reset the CMOS battery on the mobo. I had a problem similar to this one which was caused by an incorrect BIOS setting. What had happened in my case was that I had figured my BIOS would automatically dectect my proc and make settings accordingly (first time builder) Anyway, the voltages to my proc were incorrect so it wouldn't run.

Basically this: Check all connections, if that fails to fix it then reseat your AGP and possibly PCI cards. Still no luck? Then reset the CMOS battery using the jumpers (check your mobo's documentation for information on how to do this.
