I definitely respect them for calling me, even though it should have happened before now. I'll be calling the credit card company AFTER I see the case, not before.

Of course, he calls once you cancel...
Next he'll probably show up at your door asking for another extension on that 500$ loan you're giving him.

Can we know the reason they gave you BTW? Oh yeah,I bet it doesn't ship today.

wanna know why he called you?

because he will loose money on the case.

they probably just finished your case, and if u cancel now, you'll put them out of $500 of your money, and the case they took too long to do.

I bet it will get to you and it will be a crappy job.

Just cancel it.

And do us Case Modders a favor and tell us who this lying retailer is. I would definitely NOT want to deal with them.

It's Wahoo Computers. I can read Ilmater's mind What a crappy website too. They try to make it look cool by using flash, but they're too ignorant to use frames, thus every time you change the page, the annoying side menu reloads.

I saw that on the other post too, but I figured I would at least give Ilmater the chance to tell people himself.

If I were you I'd just cancel now. It's been way too long, he's just using your money as a loan. Also for a case, I'd reccomend getting a decent Antec or Lian Li, filling it with Panaflo L1As, and an antec truepower. You should be able to get all that for like 200. Then I'd use the extra 300 to get some bigger hard drives, and maybe an IDE RAID card.

First thing's first, I want to make it clear that I would never NOT tell you the company. I have way too much respect for the people in this forum to get screwed by a company and NOT let them know that I got screwed.

I didn't think it would be that hard for you to find out if you wanted to, but I really wanted to wait until I got this thing resolved fully before I said anything. Indeed it was Wahoo. Well, I must say that you people guessed everything perfectly. I got the case today, and two predictions were dead-on. Which predictions??? And the winners are:

I said repeatedly that I wanted it shipped that day and I wanted a tracking number. He said, "I'll have a tracking number to you tonight." I wanted to press him to actually say that the case would SHIP that night, but I didn't know that it was even possible to get a tracking number without shipping the case, so I bit that one. Well, the case shipped the next day and got here today. Very few things were correct. They had fans where I said and in the configuration I said, but everything else was wrong. I wanted two fans on top that were 92mm. I got two 80mm, but in the right places. I wanted a 92mm fan in the side. I got a 92mm fan in the side. I wanted both fans in back to have the case's grills removed, and new filters and grills to be in their place. Didn't happen. I wanted the GetInside door on the drive side (it was only $15). Instead, I got a thumbscrew. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, go to their website and see for yourself. I don't feel like getting into an explanation. Last, but certainly not least, the huge "FunnelChill Cooling Duct" that is on their BASIC stratagem model just wasn't on there. Instead, they had a 120mm fan installed where the 92mm fan behind the hole would have been, but the bezel was right in front of it blocking the air flow.

However, the fans that were installed were installed correctly and hooked up to the fanbus as I had designated. The look of the outside of the case was VERY nice. Each of the 5 1/4" and 3 1/2" external drive bay covers were painted as well, including the clear coat. The holes that were cut were covered by some type of... cover... which is a good thing. The cables coming from the front bezel were wrapped in spiral wrap.

Also, in their defense, when I e-mailed them, he (the owner) called again and not only said that he'd credit my card for the purchase, but he gave me their FedEx account number so that I could charge the shipping to their account.

All that being said, would I deal with them again? Probably not. I don't necessarily think they're a bad company, and they claim that they ship out many cases, but considering the fact that I spent about two weeks e-mailing back and forth between he and myself wherein I specified very clearly what I wanted. Not only that, but I sent him a word document with DRAWINGS (not scribbles, but little Word drawings) showing what I wanted. I specifically said what I wanted in every single fashion. The fact that they got things wrong after that makes me wonder as to how well their processes are internally.

I will update you when my refund goes through once again, but for now, my search is on again for the perfect case. Alas, I hope things go better this time.

Sorry to hear about all of your problems. At least you are supposedly getting a full refund for it including shipping.

I think the only way you will get exactly what you want is to build it yourself. It would be much cheaper as well.

good luck w/your refund....if it's half as hard as getting them to ship to you, then u are in for a fight.

be sure to document everything, so in the case that the owner backs out, u can refute it w/your credit card company.

I bet the case was just another case that they did for someone else, and they refunded it, so they are pawning it off to you.

Be sure to give them the appropriate reseller rating for this horrendous transaction.

I've got every e-mail I sent the owner detailing what I wanted on the case. And, just in case, I took pictures of what I DID get for more proof that things weren't right.

I seriously doubt this. There are a few things that I did specifically request that were there, so it'd be sheer luck on their part if this were the case.
Be sure to give them the appropriate reseller rating for this horrendous transaction.
Indeed.

Wahoo just sent me a receipt for my refund. Like I said, while I wouldn't order from them again, I still don't believe that they're out to screw people.

Well, the case is now back in California and my CC's refund is processed. So, I went through all of that for nothing, but at least I didn't lose anything but time.
