It's okay once you get used to it. Most people who have problems have old interface of prior versions ingrained in their brains, so switching is hard for them.

why can't i just set a tab in the middle of the page? each time i do it word ignores the tabs that had been to the left of it.

except for putting right and center justification on the right click pop up and not left justification. thats just silly. theres lots of little crap like that throughout word, excel and others in the office package. i just switched my whole company to 2007 from 2000 office, i fielded questions for a month about little crap they couldnt figure out. and this was after a bit of training, lots of hand outs and tutorial stuff.


i do like the new interface overall tho.

Meh, that's pretty much the reaction of everyone in computer support (me included) when we were switched to Office 2007. I don't care how much you know about computers, when everything you've been used to doing for many years is suddenly moved, it rocks your world for a bit. Then you get used to it.

EDIT: BTW, the interactive guides found here have been a huge help for my users. I send them out whenever we upgrade an department to Office 2007.

I agree. I like windows XP and office products under 2003. My wife has vista on her laptop and it throws me into a rage trying to do things like un-hide file extensions, etc... that are no longer in the same place that they were in XP.
