I-Cybie UPDATED: Kohls B&M $37 YMMV Aldi?

Just saw these are reduced on their webpage to $99.99 plus free shipping. Lowest I've seen, and tempting! Any better deals? Any reviews?

Just saw KBKids has them for the same price, but no free shipping. I know there is a $5 coupon out there that puts them within a couple dollars of each other.

UPDATE 1/3/02:
Appears they are currently sold out at Kohls.com. I can't add it to my cart anymore. They did reduce the price since my last post though, but it doesn't appear they are accepting any orders for them.

Still can't find it at Kmart. Checked the Menomonee Falls, WI location.

Saw some at Kohls B&M (Menomonee Falls, WI), but they marked them up to mark them down. Stupid. They're running their 25% off clearance prices, but their clearance price is higher then last weeks sale price of $99. Hmmmm. So, $90 + tax. I'll wait til their @$50, or I won't be getting one.

Still in stock at walmart.com for $90, but why would you do that?!?

Kohls.com has them back in stock at $80, but Walmart.com has them for $60

I'm assuming the Aldi price will fall, hopefully in half, in the next couple weeks. Still locally (Milwaukee area) $69.99

Or, when Kohls get's to their 75% off clearance price, $120 - 75% = $30! They might have enough to get there!

I saw these today at the BJ's Warehouse Club in Pineville, NC for $79, so if you're near a BJ's and you want one of these, check it out.

I got an i-cybie for xmas, and it is fun. I have wanted the robtic dog from sony, the Aibo, but it's like $2000 or so. This is a close match for mere cents on the dollar. You will see allmost all the tricks it can do in a short time, but Tiger toys is supposed to have a new program out for it sometime. There is a cartarage slot in the side of it where you can install new software.

Also the docs say to charge the battery for 10 hours before use, but that is wrong. On the i-cybie.com site they say only charge for 4 hours the first time, and 2 ~ 3 hours after that (untill it gets hot).

Get a couple of the bio-bugs and a robotic dog and let them run loose in your house. (It's also good to have a wife who's an engineer, so she likes the 'bots also.)Drives that cats crazy. Lot's of fun to have these little robots walking around the house. The cybie can detect objects in it's path and will try to go around them, so do the bio-bugs, but they have to walk into the object with the probes.

Kmart here had a hand written sign that said "As advertised" all electronic pets 75% off. There was no price or shelf tag for i-Cybie in the toy area, but it scanned at 42.49. My receipt says "Your total savings: 127.50".

Local Target had a bunch of them (Kmart only had two left after I bought mine). On clearance for $125 or so. I think another toy mark-down happens 1-2-02 at Target.

Been playing with it for the last couple hours. No way is it worth retail but for $45 I might keep it. Kinda cool watching all the motors work in sync...

I sprinted down to the Kmart near work as soon as I read the $42 I-Cybie. All for nothing, though. It doesn't look like they ever had it here. I couldn't find a shelf sticker for it, unless it was an end cap or isle display. So, none that I could find at the West Allis, WI Kmart if that helps anyone. You could ask someone to see if they have any in stock, but I figured after all the hassle, it would probably be $169 anyway.

Someone said it is only at the super kmart's not the bigKmarts, funny I though mine is a bigK. anyway it's a pretty cool toy altough I don't think they will make them anymore at these prices, there is only a 90 day warranty. 1400 parts and 90 feet of cable, it's bound to have trouble. The battery lasts 1-2 hours with 2-4 hour charges.

Looks like the deal is dead at Kmart; I went back today and picked up the last two they had. They now scan at $169. Took my $42 receipt from the one I bought there on Monday over to the service desk to see if they would match their own price of a few days ago. They just said the sale is over (didn't know sales ended in the middle of the week...).

Anyway, went across the street to Target and picked up a couple for $45. They still had at least three left.

So anyone that wants one, go to Target now (though one of the Targets I was at last night still had them priced at $90).
