i work at sears, and i know we price match. Bring an ad in and they will match it and take an additional 10% i think. I need to brush up on my part-time job knowledge.

i didnt say this, but sometimes sears associates in the electronics dont ask for an ad even. The i-Cybie is in the childrens department.

hope it helped

<< I just picked up 2 i-Cybies at Best Buy for $24.95 a piece. They were located next to the video game aisles with a few other misc. electronic toys. It might be a good place for others to check. >>

jlinhart - Can you please post the Best Buy SKU# for the i-CYbie from your receipt ? All three Best Buys around here swear theat Best Buy never carried the I-Cybie and that all electronic pets and games have been clearanced nationally for over 6 months since they are no longer stocking such items. If I have the SKU# at least I will have some ammo to dispute their claim. Thanks!

I hope this helps, I'm not sure if it's the sku# but there are a couple of numbers that are listed on the receipt.

4187267 70699

The second number (70699) is the same number that's listed on the box as the item number. These were the last two and the boxes were a bit beat up so they might have been there for awhile.

Well Best Buy now has 75% off the last marked price on all toys. I picked up a blue I Cybie for 12.37! The last marked price was 49.50. It rang at the register for 24 and change and it was a pain in the *** to get the cashier to do the math and the manager to grunt out an ok, and the cashier to fill out some paperwork but for 12.37 it was worth it.

Is there any way to use the scan of the receipt to get a pm with AMEX Blue? I just paid 44.94 for mine and like the 24.95 price better.

Target has been having a 75% off clearance on many toys starting several days ago in some stores. I-Cybies are included... I think the final markdown price came to 44.94 if you can't find them elsewhere for less. I still think that is a good deal... many Targets are cleared out by now though but from what I heard some of them hadn't hit 75% as of yesterday because they are behind schedule or for other reasons... worth a shot though... I found quite a few early yesterday and picked one up.

Which NJ location did you go. I went to the ADLI in Eatontown/long Branch area and they do have a pile for $79.95. Just keep watching as I don't believe ppl that shop there would pay that much for it.

Picked up 2 of these at the Flint, Michigan (Miller Road) store last night.

They had 3 or 4 in stock still after I left. Also of note is that the sign above the rack says "50% off. Discounts taken at register" After 30 minutes of complaining to a manager to get an additional 50% off the $45, she refused to give 50% more off stating the sign on the other side of the aisle ("50% off. Priced as marked") was correct.

Ahh, I left.

Came back later in the day and bought 2. Just couldn't let her know she'd won.

ANYONE in Michigan gets them for less than the Target price of $44.95, please post a scan of your receipt.

Thanks.

(The Center Road Target has 3 of these in stock, same $44.95 price.)

I saw them yesterday again, still for 39.95 at the Mount Prospect, IL Aldi's. There were about 6 or 8 on display, I opened a few and they were gold if that makes a difference.

Looks like people like to start new threads on the same deal, but here's an update.

WI Aldi's seem to be holding out. At least the one I stopped at yesterday (Northern Milwaukee) still had it for $69.99

Kohls has 50% off all their clearance prices, which = $60 after the discount

Hey! $169.99 at bluelight! Whatta deal!

Nothing shows up at kohls.com

$60 still at Walmart.com

I would guess $60 at kohls B&M and Walmart.com are the closest things to a sure bet. The lesser prices still seem regional. Both my Kohls and Aldi have a TON of these, so I'm still going to hold out...

Lowest in the last 30 days on Ebay looks @$45

HeHe, my niece got one of these for Christmas, and I knew immediately that it was trouble with those glowing eyes. When i-Cybie's eyes turn red this thing looks like something out of a Chucky movie - totally possessed. I was looking for another at BB for my niece so that she would have a backup battery, but after talking to my sister last week I found out that they have already returned the original one. The thing was scaring the h@ll out of my niece and giving her nightmares. After hearing this and thinking about it for a moment, I am sure that the i-Cybie has been the instigator of many other childrens' nightmares and is surely one of the primary reasons that so many parents have returned them since Christmas. H@ll if I woke up in the middle of the night and saw those glowing red eyes I would be scared sh@tless for a moment too! Even though the i-Cybie box does state that it is for "kids" 14 years or older, Tiger aggressively marketed the i-Cybie to the under 5 crowd. If you are still looking for one, check Toys-r-us. I found a big stack of at least 20 of them at our local B&M for $29.99. The cashier said that they were all returns.

GetReal, I don't think that's why they're being returned.

I called TRU to see if they had them at the price you found and they didn't. The stores in my area have them listed at $99. He said none of the stores near me had them at all even though the system showed 5 being returned last week. He said he was sure the items being returned were bought at another store that had blew them out at a lower price and his guess was Target :Q He said all 5 had been returned in 3 consecutive days. He then stated that since TRU has a "no receipt needed" return policy, people will go to stores to buy the items dirt cheap and return them to TRU for full store credit.

I read on another board that this is a common practice when Target marks toys down. Sad but true.

GetReal,

I can believe that as a reason for returning i-Cybie; I thought about getting rid of the one I have because my two year old daughter is terrified of it.

It's kind of a love-hate thing; she likes the box it came in. Once out of the box, she is really scared of it but if she is sitting in my lap, she thinks it is funny... Mostly, she is scared though... She is affraid to come into my office now, even if i-cybie isn't on or in the room. She'll walk around and if she thinks i-cybie is close by, she starts waving her hand and says "doggie no, doggie no".

Kinda cute and sad at the same time...

Guess being tramatized by a robot dog is as good a reason as any to need therapy once she is older...

I don't think I've seen them at Bestbuy, but $12 sounds kinda exciting

jbserra,

If you haven't found any yet, the Kohl's at Southridge had a bunch of these for $37.50. I just picked one up tonight.
