It ran at least 10x faster on IE9. However, once RAM usage got up to about 1GB, it stopped rendering on the screen. Nonetheless, IE9 did not crash or lock up.
With their current default web browser. Bet it will be nearly unresponsive even on fast hardware (core i7 965, 12GB of RAM, gtx 480) for a few seconds or minutes on most browsers.
No problem with Opera, its quite a solid browser.
But I guess it mainly depends on what are you trying to open, I mean, parsing 30 well written html pages is quite simple for any decent browser, while 30 pages with a lot of active content, possibly badly written, would bring more than some problem to anyone.
