So I need a simple digicam for work and saw that Best Buy had the Nikon S4300 on sale for $69. Since I was going to get the Nikon S3300 for $79 anyway, I thought why not.....
After trying to wave down an associate for about 10 minutes, I finally track down some younger kid and inform him of my request to purchase TWO of said S4300's.
After looking up the number in the computer (I'm assuming to verify stock), or checking his hair in the reflection, I'm not sure which...... Dude says: "Let me go get them from the back"
After 20 mins of standing around aimlessly and 2 bored screaming kids later, he walks by and says "Oh i forgot, be right back!"
Sooooo, he comes back after about another 10 mins or so and delightfully informs me "We don't have any."
I politely inform him: "That would have been nice to know EARLIER but fine, later."
Then he says: "We'll sell you the display."
I think for a second and decide: "Nah."
I start to leave then decide F it. I don't feel like driving all over town looking elsewhere and if they give me a good deal why not. It's just for work anyway and will probably get broken.
Dude: "I can knock off a few $ for the display."
I think, sure, i'll give it to my coworker and get myself a better one later. :sneaky:
At this point, the lady manager comes over pops it out of the display, hands me the BARE camera and a tag for 64.99? I'm a little confused, but the real laughs are about to be told......
I inform her: "Where's the battery, charger, cables and etc..."
Ms Manager: "Camera only, no accessories but i can sell you a battery for $54." As she pulls a new one from the rack.
I laugh quite loudly, hand the camera back to her and walk away.
Over 45 mins in that S**thole and I left with nothing. Typical Worst Buy shopping experience. How does this place remain in business? Uninformed clueless shoppers is how......
