i had an idea.... someone in the DC commmunity that has web hosting privelages should set up a website.... with a few moderators..... of everything for sale for the DC community.... you would have to apply for a membership to the mods, say 3 people, you would have to have approval from all the mods of that site to get a login/pass to view/transact/buy/sell stuff between us DCers.... that way the FS/FT people wont take advantage of our "communty" offerings... then anyone with a login/pass could put stuff in a categorised list..

I would love to have one of those 100 gigers justs isn't a goood time of year with christmas and all. Plus i just had to replace two cpus and ps plus one mb so I be cash poor right now but your price is ok they would go fast in the for sale / trade forum

lets jsut say, that everyone adds a list of their spare parts, we'll categorize the spare parts, then essentially it'll be a list of spare parts, say, the parts have to be added by the user, and it is the users responsibility to remove them.... you get a couple warnings if you dont, if you choose to abuse the system, pfft... you're gone. i honestly have no idea how to impliment something like this.... but i would be very interested in it..... and gladly donate my spare time towards a project like this.

A quick and simple solution. We would need to check with the site managers, but you could probably post the items in the For/Sale section at Deception.Net then create a thread here linking to them. Put at the top first dibs go to Team Anandtech members, or something like that.

I can remember a time when the DC community was allowed to have FS/FT threads, as those threads were considered ON TOPIC because they related to helping the team output by upgrades, creating crack rack nodes, etc.

Now we have Mods acting like a bureaucratic agency, first moving the thread to FS/FT, then deleting it because it had no prices. Talk about your catch 22s. They could have tried to contact him after moving it and given him a chance to add prices.

Of course, I can also remember a time when Anand would post reviews at 3:00am, and include his activities for the day, such as tests, playing basketball with friends, and going to a movie with his girlfriend.

So life moves on, things change, crap happens, and now we must move threads and traffic off-site if we want to have open discussions or to have the team to have first crack at for sale items.
